One of my favorite Jackson traditions is the Christmas tree hunt. Nothing like going out in the forest like the Griswolds and finding a family Christmas tree. I am always hoping for the light shining on our tree while angels singing, but I have yet to have such luck. I would settle for a child who stays in his sled. The best part of the Christmas tree hunt is the merriment that follows. This year we had hot chocolate with Baileys and homemade whipped cream spiked with brandy. We also had cinnamon rolls and Mark made candied almonds so we could all be hopped up on sugar and liquor. It was a gorgeous day, which is the first in seven Christmas tree hunts.
