Whew! The fifth month was all about one thing- Louisiana. We got on our first airplane, had the best baby on those plane rides, and made it to New Orleans. The humidity getting off the plane hit us like a freight truck. Oscar looked immediately with an expression that read "Why is the air hot and sticky? Where are the mountains? What is going on? ".
What is going on is Louisiana- mom & dad's home state. The next eleven days would be a whirlwind of meeting the Ponchatoula family, Aunt Valerie, baptism, baptism reception, Uncle Josh, the most delicious breakfasts at Granny & Paw's, Ponchatoula strawberries, Abita beer, Abby& Ashely, crawfish boils, David, Hope & Noah, two long car rides to Monroe, meeting the Monroe family, more crawfish, Lila Kay, LA Tech, SoA, Follette Pottery, Aunt Beth's wedding, Lee, Jewal, & Quint, first Mother's Day...... I am tired just writing this.
The trip was great! It was wonderful seeing everyone and made us realize how much we miss everyone! Thank you to everyone who made the trip so memorable and wonderful!
